THE VILLAGE, Round Robin Photo Challenge

Cliff swallow colony

It hangs like an ancient ruin of a by gone era.  Once upon a time it was populated.  It was a hub of activity as the occupants carried on their busy lives.  Young ones flourished and learned from their elders.  Traditions were passed on to the next generation.  Then, just as suddenly as they appeared, they were gone, leaving us to wonder if they were ever really there.  Or had we just imagined it?

Wow.  Reminds me of Anasazi cliff dwellings, with pottery.  Except, I've never seen so many pots still sitting in the ruins! - Karen
