NIGHTLIGHT

This is another test run in preparation for the full moon tomorrow.  For some reason I couldn't get the camera to focus on the craters tonight so I tried something a little different with the settings.  I manually set the camera to f16 and bulb for one second. Before posting, I increased the blue with PaintShop Pro to get this result.

Tomorrow will bring the Full Buck Moon.  Hopefully I will have better luck at some detailed crater shots.  If not, I'm happy with this shot.  There's something comforting and protective about its illumination, like a great nightlight in the sky.  I shall rest well tonight.

GREAT SHOT. I WAS NOTICING THE MOON IN MS . TONIGHT AS I WAS LEAVING WORK. I LOVE THE MOON. I HAVE A MOON IN PART OF MY TATOO AND A PIC OF THE MOON AT NIGHT AND IT'S FULL WITH TWO DOVE 'S KISSING IN THE DARK UNDER THE FULL MOON HANGING IN MY GARAGE.

I enjoy what you have created with the blue energy glow coming off of the moon.  ~mark~

Ohh this one is so luring and inviting yet dark and spooky...what a great picture.  Save this for those the Halloween cards.... I half expect bats to fly out of the shot!  I noticed the moon yesterday too and realized that we are looking at the same moon...duh...it's almost full and it looked so clear even before the day got dark.....it reminds me of the one thing that we can all on earth connect with the heavens above...we can always have that to share no matter where we are on earth...oops that's too deep.  Thanks again!  Can't wait for your full moon shots coming soon....Maria

gosh, I've got so many settings on my camera that I haven't figured out to use yet....argh, I just need someone to show me...hehe!  It is great reading this journal cause it really teaches me some things...sometimes people just show a pic and you have no idea how they took it.  This helps!
