I posted this picture back in July on my other journal, but it is one of my favorites so tonight when I was rummaging around in my files, I pulled it up and re-worked it. My niece Miki is probably the brightest little girl I know and she is also the most beautiful. Sometimes during the summer while she was vacationing with me I would forget that she was just 5. I miss my little Miki. But she left me a little momento... Just below the coat hooks on the foyer wall, scrawled in bright crayon are the letters 'miki'. My kids have volunteered to clean it off, but I declined their offer. I'll let her clean it when she returns... maybe. And then maybe I'll just leave it there to remind me of the summer with her.

I would say leave it there so you can show her many yrs. from now and to also remind you of her at this age. She's beautiful and the scarf with the flowers are just awesome on her.
aww she's beautiful...that photo says so much.

What a beautiful child!!!! I know what how you feel about the mark on the wall. My grandson when he was a young pasted stickers inside my kitchen cabinets and they are still there. When he comes to visit it's the first thing he looks for :).

I still love that picture!
This is an incredible photo. She is SUCH a little beauty!
I would paint over the crayon mark with clear polyeurethene <sp> so that it could not be washed off. What a precious keepsake.
What a precious pudding pie! (I got that from my stepmum) I have a set of very turquiose, very chubby hand prints on my new carpet upstairs. My youngest had "Mommy Community Service" to do...but inside I ADORE seeing that...sounds crazy I know....ahhhh...mother's love. ;) C. http://journals.aol.com/gdireneoe/thedailies
Hey! If it was me, I would leave it forever, lol. I am sentimental like that. She is a little doll, and the photo is WONDERFUL!!!! That is such a wonderful age anyway.

I can see why you love this picture..you have captured not just a wonderful photo but a wonderful moment. Be sure to take a picture of the writing on the wall....that way when you have her clean it off you can always have it and maybe even frame it for later......or just have her draw a frame around it.... you could even make it into a card for her birthday....she is a doll! You have made me realize I need to take more people pictures!!!!!!

What an incredibly beautiful child! The photo is stunning! Lisa
I love that pic.... She is such a little doll!
What a beautiful photo of an adorable little girl. The story about the crayon on the wall with her name is humorous and sentimental. mark
What a beautiful little girl! I might keep her name on the wall for sentimental reasons too.
