DOWNRANGE cont.

An immature golden eagle greeted us silently from above.  When it gets older it will lose the white on its wings and tail and become a rich brown.  I was pleased with this picture because it is not often that eagles fly low enough to get a decent picture of them without a high powered zoom.

This cliff swallow nest cluster hung on the side of a cliff like ancient ruins.  Similar communities could be found all along the face of the canyon but I didn't see a single swallow.

We surprised a little group of deer grazing along the roadside and this fawn was separated from its mother when the herd scattered.  We stopped the truck and after a brief moment the fawn decided that it was safe to cross infront of us and it bounded over to its anxious mother.

By the time I came across this moment my face was stinging and my foot was throbbing.  But I could almost hear the Choir of Angels as the sun's rays reached up towards the heavens and I couldn't resist taking one more picture.

I think of all of the photos, the one of the cloud is the best...that is an awesome photo.. ...I look at things like that and wonder how people can NOT believe in God when they see a photo like that...and it makes me just want to thank Him for such a beautiful planet.    Thanks for sharing the photos!!  Hope your face is feeling better!   :-)

Great shots! Really enjoyed the cliff swallow nests. You could enter the cloud shot, in Krissy's Scavenger Hunt this week, the subject is "Sky". And finally, sorry to hear about your mishap, hope you aren't too sore today. And really sorry that your camera lens was damaged.         ~Deborah

You shouldnt say your an amatuer photographer anymore.  I do believe after the first one hundred processed photos you become a professional , well at least in my book!

All of the photos are great.   Here in S. Illinois, and especially where I live in the refuge area, Eagles abound.   I have seen them 3 and 4 at a time.  Beautiful birds.  Ours are not the Golden Eagles, but the regular type Eagle.  I love rock formations.  With the swallows nests, that is fantastic.  I really hope your foot is healing and that the other injurys are getting better.  I thought the Choir of Angels part was very poignant and the cloud with sun rays depicted blended your thoughts with photo perfectly.   Now you are not only a great photographer, but a writer also.  I mean this in the most serious sense.   Take care, and God bless,   mark

As I look, your photos are awe-inspiring!  I just think of a chorus of angels and the Majesty of God.  Thank you for your hard work to share something so special.
