JUST SOME LEFT-OVERS

I was poking around in my files while looking for some pictures for a friend and I stumbled upon a bunch that I never got around to posting yet.  This beautiful highland cow is Scarlet.  Don't be fooled by her teddy bear appearance, like all mothers she can be very aggressive if her baby is threatened.

I posted another picture from this series of hummers in the desert. I don't know how I missed this shot, I really like it better than the one I posted earlier.

I caught my son Art in mid air as he tore up the dirtbike track.  Unfortunately when he landed, the chain popped off and he was sidelined until the mini-atv cooled down enough for him to get the chain back on.

When I said 'Here kitty, kitty!' I really though the glowing eyes in the tall grass was a house cat.  But it turned out to be a racoon who graciously helped itself to our picnic dinner.

We have a Momma racoon that lives somewhere on our property and with every littler of babies they spend the majority of their youth up on or roof...........makes sleeping sometimes a difficult taks with the sounds of pitter patter tearing across your roof all night! Grrrrr! I think Jim is secretly trying to taker her out via the pellet gun! :(

If I saw "Scarlet coming at me, I would move as fast as my replacement knees could take me!  The hummers are dancing in air.  The ATV reminds me of my motorcycle youth.  The racoon is certainly a nocturnal creature.  Very nice photos Dorn.   mark

Love those pictures.  I spent the day painting yesterday.  Did an evening country scene with a snow covered barn , with a fence around it and trees behind it.  If any of your friends could look at my latest entry and help me with a dream I had last night I would appreciate it. I'm getting no posts to my new journal.

Beautiful photos, you are right about Highland cattle, they can be very dangerous.

Good and fun! I agree with you on the hummer image, though I did like the other very much, this one is better! A lot of action, color and wing detail in this one really makes this work.

I am simply amazed at your artistry. I am from the southeast and equate your photography with the likes of work that I have seen in my National Geographic magazines and Sierra Club calendars. What a wonderful eye you have for composition. qbelmont@aol.com
