This antler archway is on the side of Austin Antlers in Woodland park. It is made from deer and elk sheds. I'm not sure but I believe those are actual antlers and not fabricated replicas.
I haven't got a macro lens so I really can't quite do this beautiful little Pasque flower justice. They covered the forest floor. All I saw were the pale purple and white variety but they also come in other colors.
Its a Rocky Mountain Seagull! Not really, its just a gull but I enjoy seeing them because I miss the ocean. I wonder if they miss it as well.
I don't think I will ever get tired of this view. The mountains are lush and green this year. Two years ago it was so brown and parched from the drought. A fire ban had prevented campfires for 2 summers in a row. Even now all it takes is a lightning strike, or a careless act from a human to strip the forests from the mountains.

Oh, your pictures make me so "homesick" for the Springs and Woodland Park. We loved driving through Woodland Park, as it was such a beautiful place also. Is it possible to be homesick for a place I only lived for 15 months? I vow to live there again. I miss it soooooooooooooo much. :( I will just have to enjoy it through your journal. Your photography is outstanding, but it is also not hard to take a good picture when you have such a beautiful area to take pictures in. I got in a few good shots myself now and then and I don't claim to be a photographer in any shape, form, or fashion!!!!
